Circular Cement Expansion Mold, Expansion/Shrinkage Test Kit

The Circular Cement Expansion Mold is designed to measure the expansion or shrinkage characteristics of well cement slurries. In a typical well cementing operation, a cement slurry is pumped into the annulus between the well casing and the bore hole. As the cement slurry hydrates, it undergoes a volume change which translates into bulk expansion or shrinkage. Knowing the amount of expansion or shrinkage allows users to design cement systems which can achieve optimal bonding with the borehole and well casing without sacrificing the integrity of the cement matrix.

1. Material – stainless steel with elastic characteristics
2. To make the central bolt and the adjusting screw under a 4mm hexagon.
3. Ensure the contacts of the cement paste with water during the aging of the samples; for this, provide the corresponding holes in the caps of the ring.
4. Springs (or sets of springs) provide a 1-3 mm ring opening under a weight of weights from 1 to 10 kg.
5. When assembled, the inner ring is rigidly fixed on the covers, and the outer ring has small gaps at the contacts with the covers and rotates freely to exclude the effect of friction forces on the expansion value.
